I've spent the last month matting and Framing art work, many that have been first viewed here on Deviant ART.  The funny thing about getting older is that I want to clean up, finish up, and put my life and art in order.  I think I've matted and framed about 50 images and now most of them are hanging on the walls.  The Wizard Marion Skydancer is hanging above my computers.  Watercolors I painted in 1989 are now hanging in the Guest Bathroom.  Chicken portraits are now hanging in the Fireplace room, and the Amate Barkpaper Watercolor paintings of Birds and Animals are now hanging in the halls.  I hung some paintings I inherited from my parents in the hall, and I'm happy to see the house getting put back together.  I have more frames ordered at 50% off at Aarron Brothers, and with their good deals I will get more finishing work done in June.  The mats were purchased on super sale at Jerrys Artarama, and they are a great place to buy framing and matting, and all art supplies.  I will upload some photos of the now hung paintings.  Life is short, and I think it's a wonderful thing to get your art work out of portfolios or drawers and finished and onto your walls.  Part of life is the creation and the creative process, but another aspect of creation is completion and seeing that your work is...GOOD.  Try taking some of your old work out, touching and cleaning up older work, and then framing it.  Great satisfaction.  I hope your day is good.

It is good to see that you are getting your artwork in order Annie. You are quite the creative soul and should always be viewing what you have not sold. I have works that are in a closet, though Pusscat hangs right in front of me(the painting you made for her and I) and I stare at it all the time. I follow your pencil lines and try to see how you do what you do  The attention to detail is superb in all of your draws and other crafts. It is also good for you to keep active and swim like the :fish: in your pool.

I'm not swimming yet this summer. No, I disagree!  We have to empty the pool and resurface it.  It's about 50 years old,:| (Blank Stare)  and never been cleaned and replastered and retiled. :( (Sad)  It is time, and work will start mid July and be finished in about 10 days.Nod   This will make a difference, and allow me to swim and exercise again. w00t!  I'm really glad you enjoy the drawings I gave you. Clap Hug I love deviantART!

Yes, but when the pool is first filled you will swim in the fresh clear water and relax until you get the water bill   You should sneak over to your neighbors house and use their hose to fill it :):):):):)
Are you going to use any of your tile designs? I would hope that you would put a few in for sure. If you can, paint one of my Turvys on one that is installed (it is a secret radio beacon for the orbs :ufo:)

I KNOW the water bill is going to be a killer. CURSE YOU! I think I've fainted.  This is crazy, :( (Sad) but very necessary for the pool to keep on being used.Fish  Clap  The tile will be just regular store bought tiles.  Nobody around here has a long enough hose to steal water, rofl but I will see what I can rig up..Nod ....I always wanted a well, but that won't happen in my lifetime.  It' costs $15,000. to $20,000. to dig a well.:( (Sad) Waaaah!   It would be nice to have access to waterGrr.  so I could water and plant to my hearts content.  All the dry dirt where there used to be roses is sad,Rose  but I just don't look at it anymore. 8-) (Cool)  I surrender!  I'm matting more Amate Bark Paper animals, and when the frames come in I will be back to framing.  I haven't sold a single painting, but I"m giving these paintings the respect they deserve.  Maybe my son Kevin will benifit from all this finishing and preperation. Painter Onve the pool is done I'm going to take a break and relax Relax ,  Of course I still have to clean and put the house in order for ChristmasParty ...I have to start this early because it will take me 6 months to put everything in order.  It's not easy being limpy...Granny  I hope you have work, and all is well with you...?  I miss jobs, and the money that they brought in.  This economy sucks, and it has not recovered at all....everyone just gave up and they don't look for jobs anymore.  I hope you and Puss are working and taking care of each other.  Are you still building musical instruments?  I love what you and Riverine are creating. Winner  I'd like to carve canes with snakes and dragons.  I'm good at carving...even if I havent done it for a while.  It's messy but fun! I better get to work and mail a package, pick up some screw eyes for framing, and just get busy with my day!  I love deviantART! +favlove #1 Hug

We are still making the dulcimers and also "shakers" (think square Maracas) that are filled with corn to make a soothing sound. :) And I have been refinishing decks and cleaning things for people at the same time.... I am happy that winter is gone so I can at least try to make some decent $$$ I am lucky that friends like you are around at the end of the day to write comments to. The economy does suck bad, the only people who are making money are Wall St. assholes.

I set out tea in your honor, and a bit of honey on toast. Gentle meditation in the sage, wrapped in the orange of the Eastern Sages :)

Thank you it would be lovely to sip tea with you.  I will set out large, red, ripe, Strawberries and cream to enjoy with your honey and toast!  Now after posting I have to clean, organize, and mat and frame some more art work.  This weekend was well worth the results, and I baked ham, oven fried potatoes, and fresh vegetables for the Picture Hangers.  They were definitely tired of pounding in hooks, climbing ladders, and hanging art after this marathon of Sunday work.
