40" X 60" Pen and Ink Tree of Life. Completed in 1971, and never been seen outside of my home before. It used to be framed, but moving here the frame and glass was broken, but the illustration survived. I found my tripod today so I decided to photgraph this inbetween painting in my studio and other work.

I have this exact piece of Henri Rousseau's art on a coffee Mug, and just love his art. I planted my back yard to look like a jungle because I can always imagine monkeys, tigers, boa constrictors in my beautiful jungle. Isn't it strange how every thing is linked in some way. I actually never linked my art and his before. I just linked the way I wanted my back yard to look. Silly me...

Now you have to tell me what it means. I have drawn this in many different versions, I have dreamed this in many different versions. I have zillions of books, but I don't think I have that one. I also buy what does your dream mean books. Let me know the title, and let me know what she says it means. Thanks, this is getting fun!!!

I love it too, and it's one of my favorite pen and inks from the 1970's. I have many more from this time of my life, and I may photograph them and put them up. However, this kind of work is really passe`, because Anime, comic art, and all the now stuff is just more relevant to young people I think. I'm glad you like it, and I appreciate you leaving a comment!

Sincerely,

Annie
